Student Council
All four executives (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) lead the meeting using governmental procedures. The two representatives from each homeroom vote on bills to pass during a meeting, such as approval of a dance or a new sport. We approve these motions in New Business. In Open Forum, we discuss ideas and items that are to be considered in the next meeting. The students who head the committees are the chairs, and like the executives, they report to the council in each meeting. We also approve deposits (money coming in) and expenditures (money going out).
Durfee students elect an 8th grader to be their President, a 7th or 8th grader to be their Vice President, a 7th or 8th grader to be their Secretary, and an 8th grader to be their Treasurer. Each ASB Officer must be in one of the following committees: Social Committee, Spirit Committee, or Sports Committee.

Each 7th and 8th grade homeroom elects two students from their homeroom to represent it in the Student Council. Each representative in the Student Council must be in one of the following committees: Social Committee, Spirit Committee, or Sports Committee.
