Computer Science is an elective available to both 7th and 8th graders. It is taught by Mr. Rivas, who is also teaches math for 7th grade students. Students in this elective will only stay in Computer Science for just one semester. See the fourth paragraph for more information about this.
In this elective, you will learn about logo designing, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, creating tables, typing on a keyboard effortlessly and fluently, and many more things that might help you later on in life.
Some students are selected by Mr. Rivas to become webmasters of this website. These students are selected by how well they do during the beginning of the semester.
At around the end of the first semester or the beginning of the second semester, Computer Science students and Home Economics (elective taught by Mrs. Tiffany) students switch. Former Computer Science students will now be in the Home Economics elective while former Home Economics students will be in the Computer Science elective. This change lasts until the end of the school year.
